More
Flybe's basic economy product gives a pre-assigned seat, although economy passengers who wish to choose their seat will incur a charge of £6 (€8.50, 14CHF) per single journey or £15 (€22, 35CHF) if you want an extra legroom seat, i.e. an emergency exit or bulkhead.
Emergency exit and bulkhead seats may also be requested at the airport and are charged at £18 (€26, 40CHF) per one way sector. You may prebook your seat up to 24 hours before the time of your flight.
Bear in mind that emergency exit seats must be occupied by able bodied passengers, over 16 years old, who are of suitable size and have no medical conditions that would prevent you operating the emergency doors.
Bear in mind also that when choosing your place on the Q400 or the Saab 340 that the wing area will be noisier because of the propellers.
Economy passengers can check in online and, for a fee, can put a bag into the hold. There is also a free allowance of one piece of cabin baggage up to a maximum 10kg. This bag should be no larger than 50x35x23 = 108cm 9ie: smaller than the normal 115cm cabin bag of other airlines).
Baggage fees start at £11.99 for 15kg booked online. Two bags totalling 40kg will cost £42.99 if booked online.
Onboard, there is a standard 30-inch seat pitch, an inch more than other budget carriers. There is a charge for all food and drink except on flights operated by Loganair.
Economy passengers can collect Rewards4all frequent flier points. One free economy return ticket is given for every eight purchased. Points can also be redeemed against extras like lounge access. Flybe claims the scheme is twice as rewarding as Bmi's and four times as that of British Airways' scheme.

I am a regular Flybe consumer and have flown with them from Norwich to Manchester many times and have overall had a very good experience with them. I arrived an hour early for my flight from Norwich on Sunday 23rd to Manchester to be greeted at the desk by a check in member who informed me that the flight was to be delayed an hr and a half. Unfortunately, this is... more

I was flying from Southampton to Newcastle accompanying an elderly disabled passenger. Check-in at Southampton was smooth, polite and efficient. My co-traveller was provided with a wheelchair, and we were whisked through security and on to the gate. All very smooth. The scheduled Dash 8Q400 arrived on time and we looked forward to early boarding; however the aircraft... more
