The First Class Suite is offered on Boeing 777s, including those serving Heathrow and Frankfurt. Seats are fully lie-flat, extending to a 6'6" bed.
Each seat has drop-down armrests that allow for easier access and more sleeping space. They feature privacy dividers, power ports, leather headrests, two large tray tables and a swivel seat.
On short-haul services, American Airlines brands its forward cabin as First Class, although this has the armchair-style premium seat.
On aircraft other than Boeing 777-200s, business and first class passengers are given 10-inch Samsung tablet computers on which to watch films and TV. These feature on Boeing 767-300 aircraft from Heathrow to Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Chicago and Raleigh/Durham. They will also be found on connecting services using Boeing 767-200s and on domestic Boeing 757 aircraft.
Note, however, that there is an updated first class product on Boeing 777-300ERs. See this aircraft's pages for details.

On my particular flight a catering strike at Buenos Aires,... more

If you are traveling together, AA's meal service algorithm in First Class stinks. The seating plan is a 1 2 1 plan. Facing the front of the plane the pax on the far right and one of the seats in the 2 get served first (about 10-15 minutes ahead for everything) than the other pax in the 2 slot and the pax in the far left 1 seat are served at the same time.. So, if you... more
