Business class on Air France's short-haul flights is known as Premium Affaires.

It is the traditional business class product with full flexibility and 2-2 seating. A tray table replaces the middle seat in the first few rows of each aircraft.

It is distinct from Premium Eco, which is a traditional economy product and seating but with added ticket flexibility.

Service includes a snack or meal depending on time of day.

Both fare types allow you to modify or have your tickets reimbursed without paying a fee. There is also automatic check-in and you will receive your boarding pass via e-mail 30 hours prior to departure. Passengers also enjoy a higher baggage allowance.

To find out more, see Air France's Baggage section.

Latest news...

Air France is fitting a new seat on its domestic fleet (A319s, A320s and A321s). The Recaro-designed seat pictured here is lighter than the current short-haul one, and apparently the most comfortable in the world, according to Air France.

The seat will add 2-3" more pitch, as well as having a 15 degree recline. Air France says that at 40% lighter, once fitted across its domestic fleet the seat will cut its CO2 emissions by around 52,000 tonnes per year.

The worst part is that the seat pitch remains at 32-34 inch (similar to the economy class) with no thigh nor foot support. The flights are an average of 4 hours and depart at 0125. Can AF... more

bigcmayer flew Air France Premium (business short-haul)

Premium Voyageur was worth the several hundred dollars extra per ticket. The seat is roomier, with more storage space, and only two across, so you are not travelling with, and accommodating, a stranger for 8 hours. A real wool blanket and a pillow, and noise cancelling headphones made it even better. Skipping to premium check-in and security lines was also a... more
